Role Overview

Versatility
Riflers fill gaps: you entry, anchor, trade, and clutch. Switching between aggressive and passive play separates good riflers from great ones.
Consistency
The best riflers deliver stable performances. Your team needs reliable kill output every round, not flashy highlights followed by disappearing acts.
Core Weapons
AK-47 on T side, M4A4 or M4A1-S on CT side. Master both platforms and you can compete with anyone in a straight-up duel.

Burst vs Tap vs Spray
Single shots at long range. Ideal for AK-47 headshots. Reset aim fully between each shot.
2-4 bullet bursts for medium range. Pull down slightly to compensate for initial recoil.
Full auto for close range. Requires memorising the full spray pattern. Essential for holding rushes.
Positioning Fundamentals
4 min
Off-Angles
Holding unexpected positions catches opponents off guard. Rotate off-angles between rounds so the enemy cannot pre-aim you.
- Stand where enemies do not expect you
- Change position after getting a kill
- Never re-peek the same angle twice in a row
Playing Cover
Always fight near cover so you can fall back. Jiggle peeking lets you gather information and bait shots without committing.
- Stay one step from safety at all times
- Jiggle peek to bait AWP shots
- Never stand in the open with no plan
CT Side Play
3 min
Anchoring a Site
- Stay alive: Delay the push long enough for rotations
- Use utility: Molotov choke points, flash and peek, smoke entries
- Call numbers: Tell your team how many you see immediately
- Trade-friendly: Play where your partner can refrag you
Retaking
- Wait for teammates: Never retake alone unless time forces it
- Clear together: Coordinate flashes and entry angles
- Play time: Force the planter to peek as the bomb timer ticks
- Crossfire: Approach the site from two directions at once
T Side Play
3 min
Trading Kills
- Stay close behind the entry fragger
- Pre-aim where they are looking
- Swing immediately when they die
- Call the trade so your team knows the count
Executing Sites
- Follow utility timing exactly
- Clear your assigned angle first
- Plant the bomb quickly once the site is clear
- Call out enemies you spot during the execute
Post-Plant Positions
- Spread out to force multiple duels
- Play positions that cover the bomb
- Use remaining utility to stall defusers
- Do not peek unnecessarily when time is on your side
Utility Support
2 min
You do not need to be a utility expert, but every rifler should know a handful of critical smokes and flashes on their main maps.
Must-Know Utility
- Self-flash: A pop-flash you throw before peeking
- Site smoke: At least one safe smoke per site
- Molotov: Deny common hiding spots during executes
- HE grenade: Soften enemies behind cover before peeking
Quick Tip
Learn 2-3 smokes, 2 pop-flashes, and 1 molotov lineup per map. That is enough to contribute meaningful utility while keeping your focus on aim and positioning.
Practice Routine
3 min
1
Use an aim trainer or workshop map. Focus on flicking to targets and tracking moving ones.
2
Run through AK-47 and M4 patterns until you keep 20 bullets in a tight grouping on a wall.
3
Play FFA deathmatch. Focus on crosshair placement and counter-strafing, not your kill count.
4
Watch one of your own demos and identify a single recurring mistake. Fixing one habit per week compounds fast.
