Frequently Asked Questions
CS2 updates are official announcements and patch notes released by Valve for Counter-Strike 2. These updates include gameplay changes, bug fixes, new features, and other important information about the game. Our site categorizes these into major updates (significant changes) and minor updates (smaller patches and announcements).
Major Updates: These include significant changes to the game such as new operations, gameplay overhauls, major balance adjustments, or the introduction of new features. They typically have a larger impact on the game experience.
Minor Updates: These are smaller patches that may include bug fixes, minor balance tweaks, small additions, or announcements about events. They generally don't fundamentally change how the game is played.
Our update page offers several filtering options to help you find the information you need:
Update Type: Filter by "All", "Major", or "Minor" updates
Sort By: Arrange updates by "Newest", "Oldest", or "Most Popular"
Show Count: Control how many updates appear on the page at once
You can expand or collapse all updates using the buttons at the top right of the page, and the "Load More Updates" button at the bottom lets you see additional entries without changing pages.
Our updates page automatically checks for new CS2 updates hourly. When Valve releases a new update, it will appear on our site within 60 minutes. If you want to manually refresh for the latest updates, simply reload the page.
If you can't see a particular update, check your current filter settings. You might be filtering for only major or minor updates. Try switching to "All" in the Update Type filter. Additionally, you may need to use the "Load More Updates" button if you're looking for older entries.
In rare cases, some minor updates or hotfixes might not be officially published through Steam's event system, which means they wouldn't appear in our automatic tracking.
By default, updates are shown in a collapsed view with just a preview of the content. To read the full update details:
Click on the update card or the "Read More" button to expand it
The full content will appear with all images, videos, and formatting intact
You can collapse it again by clicking the "Collapse" button at the bottom
You can also use the "Expand All" button at the top of the page to open all updates at once.
