CS2 Reporting Information
Currently, the only way to report a player is through the CS2 in-game scoreboard midgame. If you want to report a Steam user, you can do so by opening their profile and clicking the "Report" button. This will open a new window where you can select the reason for the report and submit it.
Valve's Overwatch system in CS2 uses player reports as one of the triggers for case review. When multiple players report the same person, their gameplay is reviewed by experienced players in the Overwatch system to determine if a violation occurred.
- Accuracy matters: False reports can dilute the system, so only report when you have strong evidence
- Multiple perspectives help: Encourage teammates to report obvious cheaters as multiple reports increase priority
- Include demo evidence: If possible, submit demo timestamps when reporting for better investigation
According to Valve's 2023 CS2 statistics, the reporting system has resulted in significant action against cheaters:

Look for these common signs to identify potential cheaters in your CS2 matches:
Aim Hacking Indicators:
- Perfect flicks to heads consistently
- Irregular mouse movements or unnatural snapping
- Consistent performance regardless of distance
- Unusually high headshot percentage
Wallhack Indicators:
- Pre-firing unusual positions consistently
- Perfect timing when enemies are approaching
- Looking/aiming at enemies through walls
- Ignoring common check spots but clearing uncommon ones
