What is Provably Fair?

Provably fair is a cryptographic system that allows players to verify that game outcomes are genuinely random and haven't been manipulated by the house. Every giveaway result can be independently verified using mathematical algorithms.

Trust Through Mathematics

Instead of trusting us to be fair, you can mathematically prove fairness yourself. Our system generates results using a combination of:

Server Seed

A random string generated by our servers and hashed before each giveaway starts

Client Seed

A string you can influence or verify, ensuring you participate in the randomness

Step-by-Step Process

Server Seed Generation

Our server generates a cryptographically secure random string (server seed) and immediately creates a SHA-256 hash of it. Only the hash is revealed publicly before the giveaway.

Client Seed Input

Players can provide their own client seed, or the system generates one from browser entropy. This ensures players contribute to the final randomness.

Client Seed: "player_chosen_string_123"

Nonce Counter

A nonce (number used once) increments for each giveaway, ensuring unique results even with identical seeds across multiple draws.

Nonce: 1, 2, 3, 4... (increments each giveaway)

Result Generation

The final result is calculated by hashing the combination of server seed, client seed, and nonce. This creates a deterministic but unpredictable outcome.

Combined: serverSeed + ":" + clientSeed + ":" + nonce

Winner Index: hash % totalEntries

Verification

After the giveaway, the original server seed is revealed. Anyone can now verify that the result was generated fairly using the same algorithm.
